Recently I decided that I would take my first trip to check out Scarefest at Alton Towers as I hadn’t actually been before, this would also be a record 4th visit to Alton Towers within the same year!

I must admit it was a great trip especially to be able to enjoy the rides in the dark which gives an even better experience from what it would be during the day time.

Although it was very busy, I was still able to have a very enjoyable visit to Alton Towers!

There was plenty of great entertainment on offer at Alton Towers to keep you all entertained.

From 3pm, the mazes open up, for me while I was there I found it better to go to the mazes early rather than later. On my first day due to the queues at the mazes it took over 2 hours to get all of them completed. Where as the following day I done them all just after 3pm and managed to get them all done within an hour meaning I could then enjoy the rides in the dark!

This year there was 3 mazes and 1 scare experience available, here is my rankings!

1. The Attic

2. Mine Tours

3. Darkest Depths

4. The Invitation

I did still manage to have an enjoyable visit to Scarefesr, although due to not having Scare Zones, it just felt lacking in atmosphere unlike what you will find over at Thorpe Park.

Due to thos, I have to admit, I found Fright Nights at Thorpe Park much better than Scarefest.
