For the second year in a row, I made a last-minute decision to go to Silverstone again for the 2025 Formula 1 Race after recently passing my driving test.

Well, to be honest I say it was last minute decision, my goal for 2025 was always to have a driving license prior to the F1 Race and I managed to do it with a few days to spare!

I was disappointed originally as there was no bus running from my home city to Silverstone unlike last year, so the only easy way that I was able to get there was driving. I managed to get Park and Ride access for the Saturday originally and it wasn’t until the Friday morning that more spaces became available for the Sunday so then I managed that morning and very last minute to book to go to Silverstone for race day (the best day to be there!)

I parked at Sixfields Stadium which at the time of morning I got there both days (early!) it was very easy and was a very short wait to get onto the shuttle buses (there was plenty) to Silverstone, that only took just over 30 minutes and saved a lot of stress.

For Saturday, I used the Fusion Lounge hospitality (yes, I’m showing off!).

It was a lovely hospitality suite, where you were given a friendly and warm welcome and shown to your table where if you are less than 6 people, you get put with other people which funny enough, there was 2 people who travelled down from Scotland for the race weekend!

You start your day with a lovely breakfast which you help yourself to and a great and large choice which also included omelette and eggs how you like them!

There of course is plenty of drink aswell for those (unlike me) who are not driving.

Around 12pm they then bring out lunch, which was also amazing with food cooked on the grill, there is also fish, meat, and plenty more to suit everyone which was fantastic!

There is uncovered viewing area’s also also a private ‘grandstand’ seating fully covered as well with plenty of TV’s so you can see the action easily taking place around the track.

The lounge also offered afternoon tea aswell with was also just as lovely.

Another great thing about the Fusion Lounge is in between on-track action, there is live music along with talk’s from familiar faces to keep everyone entertained which added even more to the atmosphere.

The lounge gave great views and from the grandstand you can see the pit-entry so was a perfect viewing place and you could also see great action.

For the Sunday, I didn’t manage to book into the same lounge so instead, I was in the Octaine Terrance.

The lounge was much more relaxed (for me, I definitely didn’t find it as good). You still do have great views and also have a private grandstand; however, there is no cover and also no TV screens near the grandstand so it was more difficult to know what was going on in other sections of the track (which was rather annoying considering how the race actually went).

There was plenty of food to try out aswell although they are small portions so you don’t get as filled up as you do in the Fusion Lounge.

The lounge also looked directly onto the Silverstone HeliPort so you seen all the helicopters come and go during the day which was interesting to see.

As it was much more relaxed and at times difficult to actually get a seat unlike the Fusion Lounge due to not having assigned seating.

For me I would recommend pay the extra and go to the Fusion Lounge both days, while Octaine Terrace is good, it just did not feel as good and as much worth the money you pay.

Of course regardless, it was brilliant to be at Silverstone in person, especially with how the race went due to the weather (rather interesting when there was a few lightning strikes near by!) and a massive well done of course to Lando Norris for winning action filled race!
